The Legend got back into USBL action Thursday night, taking on the Brooklyn Kings at the Civic Center. The visiting Kings led most of the first three quarters, but the Legend, led by Chris Sockwell's 29 points, were able to gain control in the fourth stanza to earn a hard-fought 92-86 victory.
Sockwell went 12 of 14 from the field, and five of six from the free throw line in addition to grabbing eight rebounds. David Bell scored 15 points, while Brian Lubeck scored 11 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.
The Kings (3-4) were led by Kyle Williams and Abdul Mills, each with 18 points.
The USBL-leading Legend (10-2) now gets set for their east-coast road trip and a pair of games at Gary against the Steelheads. The team returns to action at the Civic Center on June 8 against the Oklahoma Storm.
