The defending USBL champions just added two more players to the roster for 2004.
Ray Weathers, a 6 4" guard from Michigan State, brings proven abilities to the Legend. Weathers played in the Continental Basketball Association this past winter averaging 21.5 points and 5.6 assists per game.
"He had a great year in the CBA," said Legend Head Coach Dale Osbourne. "He will bring great leadership and play on the floor."
The other signing was Muntrelle Dobbins, a 6 8" forward out of the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. Dobbins most recently played in the CBA averaging 13.5 points and 7.8 rebounds a game during his stint with the Rockford Lightning.
"Muntrelle is a big strong player that brings a lot of experience and can really score around the basket," said Coach Osbourne.
The Legend season kicks off Sunday April 18th at the Dodge City Civic Center with a game against the Oklahoma Storm. There will be a pre-game ceremony as they drop the 2003 championship banner. Game time is 7:00 PM
